Unusual for this site I know, but Im so fed up with my figure (and having my marriage blessed next July) that I want to make a change. I dont eat a deal but desperately want my old figure back, I permanently look pregnant! Im so self conscious which I know is vain of me, but it affects so much. I also have a hernia, which doesnt help. Has anyone actually had liposuction or liposculpture? How much did it cost and was it worth the results? What was the recovery time? Ive come across something called Enliven, but unsure if its permanent so have to look into it.

No BUT wish i could have as have bingo wings and a big tum!!
I watch the programmes where body sculpture surgery is done, they seem to be mostly USA ones though and its seems the younger you are the better the outcome!
For ME!! as a grt gran I think i have to accept that i am what I am now even though i dont like it ,as healing will be a problem from cosmectic surgery the older you are

I suppose so Shirley, I havent thought of watching the programmes; I might do now :-) Im 34 but after three babies and being about 3 stone overweight, everything has headed south quite rapidly. xx

Yes I agree with Joan I would like the thought of getting rid of the excess but i have just had op on my elbow which was neccasary and nearly a month later am still recovering, so it seems silly to put yourself through surgery when you dont really need it.

A really good girdle will help to disguise it. All the sit-ups in the world wont touch it, its the way we are made, and we cant stay twenty for ever. Cncentrate on the things you Can fix and wear a happy smile, if people do notice they are probably saying thank goodness I am not the only one!!

My manager at work had the lipo. Did not tell me the cost but she looked fabulous. I swim 3 miles a week and i find that now keeps my size down. Annie

Ive just bought a girdle online! Looks really good actually, never thought of it before. I suppose there are risks with any surgery really, maybe just as well we cant afford it, Im seriously considering a loan but its a big step to take. Thanks ladies.

Did anyone see, I think it was called 'The Ugly Side of Beauty' last night?
Very scary. About 1 in 20 cosmetic surgeries go wrong!!!
A girdle sounds a good idea!!

Can't say I ever fancied it.
Recall an ex Scotland footballer whose wife died after suffering for a long time from complications after such surgery.
His name escapes me at this time.

I could do with it, I have always had a poddy tum even when a teenager and size 10 and two fried eggs up top. Now I have far too much of everything and hate it but wouldn't put myself at risk even for the chance of losing the fat.

I would think you are too precious to your family to risk anything like that, have you seen some of the bruises etc it leaves, it can't be good for your body to go through all that punishment, it's not a gentle procedure if things I have seen on tv are anything to go by. I recorded that prog but haven't watched it yet.

What about enlisting the help of a personal trainer at your local gym to work on the areas you want to change? Be a lot cheaper than lipo.
