Vodaphone Pay as you go

Does anyone out there know if you can use a pay as you go mobile (vodaphone) in Florida? I know you can in Europe but will it work in Florida. Tried Customer Services but its automated reply system & im going round in circles and still not able to find out what i want to know! As anyone else out there used one in Florida??

I think it is the phone rather than the provider/contract or whatever that denotes if you can use it.

Have you got international roaming ,with your provider ?

That's a must ... Your phone has to be TRI /Band

Im going to have to contact virgin & ask them to sort my phone out for international roaming. I have a quad band phone so that should be ok as i have read that tri & quad band are ok for USA.

I did plan to use my other phone which is pay as you go but its vodafone & its dual band. Other alternative is to have my contract phone unlocked & use my vodafone chip in that.

Just worried that contract phones will leave me will bigger bill if i use my contract one and dont get it unlocked and use pay as you go sim!
