You know ive looked at so many ads online tonight - I cant remember what was in the original now apart from the slow piano music - dum dum dedum dedum de dum dum. The discovery channel also plays it. Ive tried to find music by Andrew Block without success so maybe thats it - but the tune seems familar to me - reminds me of music college back - oh to long ago to say.

Are you thinking of the Ancestry advert with the soldier in the trenches Maddie?

Don't know whether that's it ... my speakers still aren't working from when I offered my computer a refreshing splash of diet coke ... but this misspelling seems to be spreading. If you're looking for it, google will offer you the correct spelling:

"La Valseuse"

but it still doesn't find much!

Oops, well, if anybody does want that one, that's how it's spelled. ;)

Thanks Polly but thats the wrong advert - right ancestry and recent but not the one - thats more up beat - the one I asm thinking of is slower more funeral than fairground, but your efforts are appreciated.

Others on the internet state 'Vladimir's Blues' by Max Richter but I've listened and they don't sound the same to me!

According to someone on youtube the music is "La Valseuese" by Xavier Demerliac.
It's from a music library called K.P.M. Music

I just realised its an Ancestry ad not GR.

Hi, there is a new GR advert on the TV which has a slow piece of Piano Music and it’s not Moonlight Sonata that the old ones were. The same piece is used on the Adverts on the Discovery Channel for The Children that Cheated the Nazis. If anyone can tell me what this piece of music is called they may well save my sanity. Thanks
