The Diary of My Move

UzziAndHerDogs Report 16 Jul 2010 18:41

Okay yesterday in the aftermath of the fire 'Hotspotz' and no it's not a joke, came round with the contract for us to sign. OH did sign, good move on their part, as I am now thinking about the perils of moving to the 'other side' The other side being residential and all privately owned so no fire breaks of ease of movement along the 'roads' . (see cars blocking roadways for engines in the Hazzards of campsite living) Mind I did ask the agent if the owners are insured and if not why not ...that made him think and will send him back to base with a lot of questions.
Still we have signed it now so we move on the 1st of October. (regardless to my insurance clause wanted) mmmm OH has happily taken me around garden centres so we may look at water features for new home and buy plants but has forgotten to charge camera to take photos of old home we need to sell.

I will put camera on charge and sort out the page layout for sale.
Considering the fire the site has just had should I make sure there is a trolley bag close to the exit for quick get away. ? Do I really want to move to such a heavily permanent home side.
Well yes I do as I am still seriously thinking of buying there one day. But at least buying I will pick and choose where on there I go, yes one was the field side and 2 parcela's were destroyed there. Infact had I the dosh one would have been a destroyed one and NO I wouldn't have had insurance in place. Worse it was one I wanted to rent.

It will be fun to move because although we are on the same site 'village' we will be moving amongst a whole new set of friends yet to meet, and a lot of them are there full time or rent out, against empty parcelas in summer here. Mind empty parcela's does mean quiet. So maybe some are quiet in winter and mayhem summer ...I can only check the summer months now in that area. But it is new people. We have already met a resident neighbour who is Spanish with no english and a dog. Seems dogs can get by that language barrier by waggy tails and sniffing bums. I am not sure if I would appreciate it if his acceptence of me was a waggy tail and he sniffed my bum every time I passed. So I think some Spanish is going to have to be acquired or at the worst Spanglish one thing I don't think is he will need to learn English..I'm actually looking forward to attempting to talk to him and his wife in the language of the country I have chosen to adopt. Not something you do on rental side as they are English dutch or german.
Now what a thought wag your bum, put the nose in the air and no matter what country. language they understand. True if you are young free and single ..okay true if you are young mmmm if you have a young figure. Seeing as I am not of them I will learn the language.
By the way I can still wiggle the bum but it is more like a waggle and the whole body revolves so 2hrs later you begin to feel sea sick with the aftermath :-)

I was out swimming once when somebody shouted Whale, I shouted back where, I wish I hadn't turns out they were going to stroke me....

It's ironic that this 1 of 2 places owned by the same person that we went after privately and they wouldn't let without selling one of them. Me and OH never did agree which one we prefered but as is I have the one now that buying I would have gone for. (renting is a whole different matter you can't move walls when you rent).

Anyways knowing the place is empty as the owners are else where I was hoping to get in there and pet proof and do things us females do like sort out new net curtains. Turns out that there is a Sept let on the place and then the owners or more to the point the sellers will be moving in there for the last week of Sept until the 1st Oct having got rid of there own. So there is no chance of me doing sneaky early work on the parcela.
This didn't come to light until after we had signed .....annoying because they knew I wanted in there and knew the sellers were using it. ...
,,,, Ha ha I know the sellers should I just ask them if I can fence fully (means telling them their fence is crap lol) . To be honest knowing me I probably will, but we will have to wait and see.
As for selling our RV I have an interest from somebody we talked about renting from, I told her she was over priced but are you still interested in RV and she said yes. Cheeky but in the long run it's an interest person.

I will record here for you all to read my joys and tears of moving. We have a long way to go. That's if anybody's interested ...mind even if you say say your not I will probably still do it.
I'm actually writing it into word pad for future reference so I will record it no matter what. So like it or not you will get updates *grins*

Same date 16th July

Surprising how fast a move gets around, have been offered €3000 for the engine on RV but they don’t want the RV itself ....So I would still have the RV and pitch fee with NO engine,, sorry it’s all part and parcel I am not splitting it ..if the best I get is 2.500 but it’s the whole RV so be it, but I am not taking the engine out. Well without an engine it’s just another static ain’t it ?

Duh do I look thick ...those who have seen me please refrain from answering.

Hi Uzzi

Good luck with your move! Ref your reference to your Spanish neighbour and her dog....

I think I told you ages ago that my late OH lived in Spain for years. He picked up the language eventually, but he told me a funny story about when he first arrived.

Having seen a sign saying "cuidado con el perro " complete with pictures, he rightly concluded that "perro" meant "dog"

So - ages of listening to Spanish in the local posadas - (hey, nothing he wouldn't do in the cause of learing the lingo!) - he came to the conclusion that the Spanish loved dogs. "Perro" was mentioned every second sentence.

Or maybe "pero" which just means "but", of course....

Another day another dollar

Well I have something achieved today ....I have found out that the reason I can’t find our camera is it’s out on loan and OH was hoping to get it back before I had noticed it gone mmmmm.
So what have I done towards moving
I have made a few lists of what we need to do, and I have told a lot of people what we are doing. Guess when you tell people there is no going back ...forget we’ve signed a contract, telling people makes it more real.

How different this is from 6 years ago selling the pub. I told next to nobody until I had to, and knew the move was right. ( I think I gave them about 7/8weeks notice). I guess I am giving them that now also but this time I’m unsure. PMSL last time I was leaving the UK for Spain this time I am going less than 1/2mile away on the same ruddy campsite. Must be an age thing, I have never ever bothered about leaving neighbours before. Now I think ..who will be there if, ..the mutts fight (mmm I have coped alone before) who will be there if I have a heart attack seizure, stroke... Even where I am I would have to be able to shout so no difference really. I am in such a tight knit few where I am and occasionally berate the fact, but worry about moving from it. Could that be because the area I am going to is the same. NO because next door to me has recently been sold, I have met the Spanish couple across the way ....that is going to be soooo good for me learning the language, it’s the 1 thing I berate this sector for we never learn the language and if we did it would be dutch or german. Now I will have 3 resident Spanish neighbours. The new owners next door I know are English but think it’s either just a holiday home or bought to let. ..Hey that’s not a worry come summer, this sector used to be and still is to a lesser degree, deserted also.
I know I should start packing things, but it’s hot, OH hasn’t bought the boxes from work yet, we have agreed that we will do a 1or 2 week transfer over and I know I packed a 5 bed flat up in 6weeks.
The thing is once I start I want to finish, and due to the timing I can’t plod through out. So I leave it, but I want to sell the bus and the best way to do that is to pack it all up so it looks tidy and ready to move into.
The stupid thing is there is a lot of things I am going to sell off, apart from my 500 books, there’s electrical stuffy, clothes, and camping gear. No point having a sale tho’ until I move and know exactly what is going. So I can’t even do that.

Whores wedding and spare sharp things come to mind at the moment.

Also on top of this having had next to No visitors for 6 years we are having 3 different lots in the month of September, .....the month I am going to need to stick me head down and pack. One of them being me muvver who will want 24hr attention. Oh boy did I want to move, to late to ask do I, no it’s not really I could back out at the cost of a months rent, but imagine how that will go down with other owners if I want to rent again! I admit the fire this week worried me but my hesitation was already in place, guess it was just unfortunate that they brought the contract round for me to sign before the ground was cold.

Oh Maggie wait until I try and buy on here Yes Spain is as bad as Portugal infact it taught Portugal ..

Ann it could be a long saga as it's thoughts, hopes and nightmares.

Sue :-) yep I got that wrong and righted very quickly so I know pero and perrrrrooo
I also have learnt the nuance on perro as to whether they love the mutt or it's just there to be kicked ....okay that's mainly body language. My funniest story I was told and hope I didn't do, but know many who have since, was Polla and pollo ........
As you may know they don't have burger vans out here but chicken wagons so you ask for pollo asado say it wrong polla asado ...

....sorry folks this thread would be wooshed if I said what polla was

More thoughts I am going to miss my pool next summer ..I am so used to dipping in and out of it even at 11pm at night .,,,,,, Mmm and until this year I didn’t have a pool plus OH says he will buy me a smaller one if need be. Also next year when I get hot I just put the aircon on and don’t worry about the leccy.
I would rather pool as there is something rather ***** about floating in a sun warmed pool at 11pm at night
I will allow you all to put your version to ***** in the pool . (Do remember it is just me as OH at work 6nights a week)

Another day same thoughts

I actually just want to cry, I have thought about what I said to Ann and yes this move is different, Dad’s not here, so I am on my own,

I have done something really stupid today I phoned Dad, to be fair to me I was still half in asleep it was 4/5am , I’m not sure if it’s good or not, it’s a long while since I have sleepwalked. As for making phone calls weird. It’s early at the mo, so maybe things will change.

Well I did phone Dad and apparently had a very intelligent conversation with him, according to my step mam. And yes I may have the vax that was offered me 5yrs ago .....

Another day and a crappy one I have earache serious drop ya dead earache now this is annoying as I want to photo the van and sort things out.

I have missed a few day because from 1 ear I then got the infection in the other, not nice and not welcome.
I have what date the 31 july taken all the photo’s of the van ...jut need to get them on the web and for sale. Still haven’t done any packing but then I have 2 months as an FB friend commented when I said I was moving and needed to pack ..in how many minutes lol that goes back to boarding school ..

So where are we really well ..we are contracted to move in October but ..today I have put the photo’s on FB (as if that is gonna sell) but at least they are on PC and I have linked the printer up.

Strange one is a place we went after and refused for being tooooo dear has got back to us furthering their interest in our bus and asking if we will negotiate a price on their casa. Glad about the interest but sorry We have signed a contract to rent. Why do people leave it that late it’s ages since I said x amount was unacceptable and we had got a chance at y amount. Which we took. It’s not just because they didn’t read e-mails as they wished me luck with the cheaper place.

Is this just because they are interested in the bus? They actually were from the start when I first mentioned selling it. Still far too late I have signed a contract with the other people.

How much packing have I done mmmmmm I should ask how many boxes as OH brought home for me.
I know I know I have 2 months to go and I haven’t even got a box ....*grins* .
I wonder if I would be like this if I was moving countries and the answer is yes I was ...but when I pack I pack line them boxes up and be ready to march out.

Mmmm that was a few years younger a lot fitter, and more energy can I still do it?
Thinking we are still on the 1st Aug and ya know I m still not happy with the move, Excepted it but not happy ...anyone in Spain got a child gate they don’t want preferable waterproof. Lol I will have no bath so need to put mutts in shower.
Good side OH is assured fulltime work this winter, well about time too he’s only worked for them for 5 yrs.

Amusing side of me giving my pitch up so many people want it ...I have never had so many friends offering help lol
I have 1 of the 5 most desirable pitches on the site and they are all booked yr in yr out. Some people are that desperate that they asked the widow about her pitch at the ruddy funeral. He won’t be getting mine either !!

UzziAndHerDogs Report 10 Aug 2010 19:47

So we are now at the 10th August and what have I done.
I have re-evaluated my storage tent and made space for boxes to fit into. Only because my washing machine is no longer in there having packed up and now awaiting a man that can and shoved down the side.

I have stripped my cooker hood of all the fridge magnets that was on there, and deep cleaned the cooker top....that now means we can’t use it but as I have a 2 burner gas cooker outside it’s not a problem. I also have cleaned the magic chef ..but then that was dust on the outside, cos I don’t use it have miccy outside, so will have to be done again

I now have the printer connected to my PC and Ebay account so I can put bus up for sale on...........or would if I could understand it. As soon as I said I lived in Spain that was the end of the English language. *sighs* As for the printer I’ll wait another week or 3 to learn how to use it and where the paper for it is.

Back to how much packing have I done. ..Absolutely none. I still don’t have them damn boxes Now I could dig out the bags from under the bed and pack the winter clothes into them ....Oh hang on that’s already done. Okay I can sort out my clothes and decide what’s staying and what’s to be sold ....I would if I had something to put them into.. rather than black bin bags. Actually I do have a few of them already but nowhere to store large bags at the moment.

With less than 2months to go (officially) I do wonder whether I am panicking too much or not enough.

I have to own up to being a little bit peeved as we believed we would be able to get in there to do a quick measure, and pet proof some off the pitch we knew it was occupied the week before we went in and another week also .....Eck it’s been occupied ever since and what did look easy grounds to work on now looks like mayhem.

Still positive thoughts about all this. I can do it and will do it ......

Been a bit angry to discover my niece married 3 weeks ago and all the step family attended but I wasn’t even told about it. Normally that sort of anger would make me do things but in the heat we have I can’t be bothered.

Still looking for a stair-gate in PVC or at least water proof ....
Still looking for the sanity I appear to have lost.

Oh I washed me ceiling and cleaned the aircon units out.

And here endeth another day because it’s too hot and sticky and I haven’t got any BOXES. Lol

Hi Uzzi

sorry to hear you are having a few blips with the plans for moving and hope you will feel more organised soon, sounds as tho you have been quite busy actually.

I wonder if something I have seen on tv would help you, on one of the shopping channels you can buy those vacuum bags that squeeze lots of stuff down really small, and there is a package of several bags and two - I think - containers to put the packed bags into so making them easier to move and keep tidy. These bags really do work, I have some packed with duvets and stuff that end up really flat and compact and the items are kept dry and mothproof, mildew proof etc so no disasters when you open the airtight bags. The whole package is around £30 but would hold lots of things and they would all be clean and fresh when you took them out again, and no worries about split bin bags spilling your undies all over the show lol You can use them for clothes, bedding, paperwork and books almost anything except sharp objects really.

Good luck, hope you can decide when to tell your Mum about your selfish niece, not related to my o.h.'s family is she? - only she sounds the same sort of person!

Love

11th August

Last night I said to OH (with a sigh) Did you bring the boxes home.
Now I know the boxes are there cos I nudged a workmate of his last week on FB for them. Poor OH I keep up with his work via his friends !

Yes said OH with a smile.

This evening he unloaded the back of the jeep of boxes lots of them and all different sizes, not quite the 1size easy stack hardwearing that I had planned on.

Me.....what the eck do I want all them boxes for, where am I going to put them ........

I know I shouldn't laugh but OH just looked bemused at me grinning and went to work .

I presume the theory is to give me a choice of size etc and I can throw away the rest. Mind given time no doubt I will use them all but I didn't want so many in one go.
I really am just being niggly about it all.

Tonight if it cools off I will empty a couple of the top cupboards of the DVD’s and cook books that I shan’t be using before the move, question is will I have room at the other end. I’ll have to because I use the things.
I’m trying to work out what I shall be packing to store. I was going to pack up my earthenware oven to table stuff as I never use it now, but T has suggested that it might be nice to actually use it if we have room to unpack it. Good point if we have room, without being able to get in there I really don’t know what is going to be available. I shall pack up all my melamine tableware to store but will need to keep it out for now as we use it.
We bought melamine for ease of storage and travel, but if the place we’re going has good old china stuff I’ll pack mine away. Mind I’ll keep the outside plastic tableware handy. If nothing else the plates are great as frisbee’s plus they are handy for BBQ’s and picnics ......
*I have to wonder here when was the last time I did a BBQ or went on a picnic or even played frisbee*

Tomorrow being Thursday is T’s day off so I am wondering if it’s a good time to get him on the roof to have a look what we have in the top boxes. No maybe not I think that is a job to be last after all it means bring it down to ground level. I do think it will be a good day to sort the outside lockers out at least. And collect together all the tools in one, check to see if I have any books floating about under there and generally get an idea of what we have. It may be a good idea to see what we have stashed under the van on the pallet also.

I did like the idea of the vacuum pack bags, mentioned early. At the moment I rotate winter summer clothes and stash under the bed (it’s a solid base with lift up top) but I don’t think I am going to have that in the new place, may have room under the bed but not the amount we do here. In fact nowhere near the amount we do here. Seeing as we have 3 large solid suitcases 4 totes all packed with stuff and then the odd duvet clothes coats and boxes under ours at the moment. Mmmm will sort that when we get to it, but as I was saying I like the idea of the vacuum bags but was going to turn the idea down as hopefully I will have so little that will need to go in but just thinking about what is in lockers, topboxes and under the bed I may have to think again.

I know I’ve been a bit snipey lately, in fact ever since we signed the contract. Well before that really as my thing was if we were going to move we just have done so before summer ....thank anything we didn’t as I might have not been able to fit the pool in, and it has been a bonus when I’ve been visiting those exotic tropical islands all on my own-some, So as we didn’t I want to stay where we are for the winter sort of ..yes moving still has advantages but not so many, and niggly me reckons we could find better...Noooo we can’t we have already looked. Anyway moving now gives us a better insight into the residential side of the campsite so if the offers are there we will get to hear about them. Nobody said we had to stay put when the contracts up.

I hope not to do so anyway, hopefully this year we will find the right place for us and go ahead and buy our own. Tee hee means I can have all my dragon photo’s up on the walls again. (these sadly will have to be boxed for now)

16th August

Now where have I got to. I have managed to fill 4 boxes I know that’s not a lot but when you down size the way I have there isn’t much you can pack before hand that you don’t use. Well not without climbing on the roof dragging out lockers or lifting beds.

I have finally tweaked the for sale poster with help from OH who I finally pinned down and said will you check it please. He did changed a few mistakes and then promptly told me I have the mileage wrong and he will have to work out the real mileage that the engine has done. ..So more waiting about.

Today was a nightmare one of our water pipes has cracked and the floor flooded ..luckily with not have a large area it’s quickly picked up. But it took an hour to trace the leak which happens to be behind the some wood under the cooker, behind a drawer. Great, off OH went to get jubilee clips and any other bits he needs to fix it.
Moulded clip off new jubilee clip on after much swearing and head banging (small space he was trying to crawl into. Turns water back on and prays. Turns water back off more swearing more replacing jubilee clips more praying and water back on again Major swearing this time. It’s not the clips and hose it’s the actual 3 way connecter that has a crack in it. Shops now shut and OH has work tonight so it’s no water in the van ... Why couldn’t it have waited awhile before it decided to crack ? OH is on early tomorrow so he may get to the local ironmongers but won’t be able to get in to town or have time to fit the piece so I am without water in the van until at least Wednesday. At least I have the hosepipe outside and the shower block close by.

Mind HORRORS of HORRORS while OH was shopping I decided to empty one of the drawers we have pulled out and pack most of it up as it’s kitchen stuffy that I can manage without. Got to the bottom of the drawer and there staring at me was a huge, huge cockroach. I quickly dropped the tray back on it and carefully carried the drawer outside to an empty pitch and tipped the thing up. No cockroach, so I slowly removed the cloths and the tray then I moved another cloth and it ran I screamed and ran around bare foot as it ran towards me. It finally headed for the bushes.
This was all to the amusement of my neighbours. If there is one thing I hate about this life and it’s them horrible things. We do have roach traps down everywhere but that one was too big to fit in. *shudders* at the thought of it.

The roaches haven’t been so bad the last couple of years there was a time when the bins used to be by the shower blocks and if you walked in there at night and turned the light on you would see them all scurrying away. I learnt not to bad about barefoot in the dark lol. Still as I said things haven’t been too bad this year at all and that is the 1st I have seen inside the van for a long while. I now have to make sure I wipe it from my mind before bedtime.

I’m going to end up selling so much when we move mainly books and clothes. I was going to take it all to the new place and do a yard sale there, but I look at all the stuff and wonder if I shouldn’t move all I want, shove the mutts that end and sell from this end (more space). On the other hand as we are taking a few days to move across I may as well take it all over and see what’s what and then get rid of what I don’t need. As I can’t get into the shed that end I don’t know how much of the boards or cupboards I have here I will need to shelve over there. (Shelve is that right? Mmm it doesn’t look right, my spell check is allowing it oh well).
We walked past a couple of days ago (as you do) and the outside was an absolute tip with all the chair cushion scattered about on the floor, the inside stools outside, There was a load of rubbish scattered down the side of the van. I am thinking of getting rid of my lounger chairs and cushions as there is a couple of sun-beds there, now I am not so sure. No I will get rid of them as I really can’t see the point of taking up storage room for them. When we eventually move again I will buy new ones. It’s not like we will get a lot of money for them but the do take up space and we have had them for awhile now. As it is I am keeping my outside table and 6 chairs even though they have some over there. They are not cheap to replace and I can’t see the point of selling off the whole lot for what it will probably cost us to buy a couple of chairs when the time comes.
One good point of the last few days we have had major rain, so I did do a quick recce round there to check for flooding and it seemed okay. Although with how dry the ground was any flooding would quickly have seeped away. A friend newly bought a place 5mths ago, 2 calles (streets) away from where we are going to, and she did got flooded. tbc......

cont...

. A friend newly bought a place 5mths ago, 2 calles (streets) away from where we are going to, and she did get flooded. She has an outside kitchen and bathroom shed at ground level. A** said it was brilliant really as 4 of her Spanish neighbours arrived with brooms to sweep away the water whilst the husbands dug a trench out the front to route the water away. According to friend it was the best thing that has happened to her since she moved in.
I know the brits would help but it did give me more faith about moving amongst Spanish neighbours.

Minx met Toby loose t’other day (they usually just wag tails thro’ the fence) Toby is the dog opposite us. They both have stubby tails and if you could have tied flags to them they would have waved theirs faster than when Spain won the world cup. Strangely they are very alike although Toby is slimmer than Minx being more yorky to Minx’ border terrier. So Minx has a boyfriend which is good as she normally just tries to kill any neighbours dogs.

I should mention whilst I am about that since the 13th I have had no access to GR ... How does somebody not realise that their bank card ran out in June and they don’t have the replacement. Well it happened to me. It was only GR telling me that they couldn’t take the dosh that made me look at it. So I had to go to the bank re-order a replacement card for the one that had to be cancelled because I don’t have it. Did that, and new card be here on Wednesday.
Meanwhile GR have been happily telling me that my membership is out ,,,did I know of course I bleedy well know cos I can’t access the boards. So me in me wisdom (no that isn’t old age) decided to reply to the did I know e-mail and repeat what I had already told them ....my reply from them No don’t ask it’s too long winded and stupid but it told me how to register and all the different memberships there are. Arggggghhhh I know that and they know I know that because they are sending the e-mails to UZZI ...

PMSL I actually had been playing Russian roulette with my membership and never checked my account so I decided if it wasn’t on continuios continueus rollover thingy, then I would let it lapse. Then I had the pm mail saying payment was due but not to worry as they would take it from my bank on previous card details etc *sighed* I’m gonna stay a member. Now I’m playing again because if they don’t allow me my 12months then I shan’t renew. After all it will only be a week out and I have tried to explain why.

So I am tapping away here and it might just be for my benefit, but if I post this come Wednesday then they obviously allowed me some grace time. Do I thank GR for that or not.

I know this was supposed to be about my move but moving isn’t that simple when you have a OH, 2dogs, and an internet connection to think about. So you are getting everything else in with it.
It will also be strange reading back in many years time to realise that I am not just nattering away thoughts to myself but also to others.
I wonder how many of us kept a dear diary as a child still that is another thread in the making.
The next question has to be who still has those dear diary books and do you remember what you meant. I once read an old desk diary of mine and couldn’t for the life me understand what most of it was about.
Shows how computers can change our lives, this I can keep locked away with my other tappings and in a few years time I will be able to look back and groan (or giggle). I do wonder tho’ what will happen to my on-line scribbling when I am gone.
Now there is a thought in 100years time they will probably be no diaries to unearth about life as it is, because we all had notebooks or in my case whatever this is written in. No more letters to find in the attic from a long lost age because all news was send by e-mail. What happens to the dead pc’s that still have those on .....trashed and gone. There will be no unearthing of thoughts long gone. They will be crushed with the rest of the earths rubbish.
Now that could be a horrible thought as if anything happens to me my OH will use my PC once to tell all in my msn account. He might or might not tell GR ..but he would never think to retain anything that I have on my PC, he would destroy it.

Ouch I need to re-think that.

So for tonight I’m gonna go and kick the other 2 drawers out side (incase of roaches) and move them under cover (in case of rain).

Tomorrow is another day
Ahh it is and another day to send me grey ..I’m actually beginning to think that maybe I should find sponsors and go grey for charity. *grins* at least I can explain the badger look ! anyone interested we could call it the Ash look. To be truthful I would do it now if there was enough Brits here, but by the time they arrive ....hang on I can colour and then do it
Now I am going for the night
Thankyou for reading

17th August 14.24 me time

Okay so what is today going to bring. Well apart from a great chance of rain, not a lot. Our alarm clock in her wisdom decided to stay curled up asleep this morning and it was nearly 10am before we got out of bed. That meaning by the time I was up showered, dressed, coffee drank and mutts walked it left me with enough time to grab some shopping, do the washing up from last night (round at the shower blocks) get another coffee, rinse OH’s work shirts out, lunch for OH, the second mutt walk and it was time for OH to go to work, this being his early start of the week. It’s great for him to be home by 11.15 pm instead of 2.30am but starting at 2pm really throws my day out. So it will now have to be tomorrow before we can get the joint for the water pipes. BUT *grins manically* I should get my bank card tomorrow so I shall be back on GR.

I did last night sort out some of my paper-work I still have some of the old pub papers so they got ditched. Then I got side-tracked reading my Dad’s memoirs and some long ago letters that I once wrote and never posted. It was a rough account of our journey from leaving the pub in the April and then the UK in May driving through France and down into Spain getting here on the 2nd of July. By the time I had finished doing that it was getting rather late so I shoved it all back in its box and stashed it back under the settee.

Arggghhhh I’ve just realised that my net has gone zilcho. AGAIN. Hopefully when we move we should have a better line of sight to the main mast so the trees and things shouldn’t get in the way. I think I want to hibernate some-one wake me next June please. Lol

Back again I naffed off earlier as my language was not going to be fit to be read and I really can’t be ar8ed to re-read and edit all of this. Instead I did something useful and cleaned up my documents. Put all the tree work in separate folders depending who’s tree it belongs too, tidied up letters, poems and all that. I think I did a really good job. Then sat and thought .....it ain’t helping the packing ‘cos the lappy comes as one. Hey ho we all have them moments *don’t we?* Bit like those quirky habits.  I told T about it and over the week-end he fetched all the towels etc in off the line ..put them on the settee (unusual) and sat and watched me. Me not giving it much thought picked them up re-folded them neatly to put away. Himself just sat and laughed, he had purposely folded them awkward to see what I would do. Now he keeps taking the ‘P’

******censored version . *******

had a difference of opinion with a neighbour who thought they could tell my mutts of EVEN raise a hand to them. I very impolitedly explained good or bad they are my mutts and I will be the one to tell them off

I had better censor that bit out soon as you never know who’s looking in and the camp site is as bad as any estate, village, workplace, school, website for gossip. ( did I cover enough so no-one can say I’m being biased against a certain group)
