There are no actual certificates for births, marriages and deaths pre 1837. Civil registration started in 1837 - this is a useful site to read: http://www.thosedixons.net/certificates/births.html |

So i understand that we search parish records to discover births etc but can we get copies of anything as facts like the certificates? Or is it just what you read and copy down/ Thanks |
