I would like to know why some people go on this sight, I have contacted a few people who have the same ancestors as me with no reply.

Sometimes, sadly, people pass away and, unless their family have access to the site and are able to request, if they so wish, that the person's tree be removed, then the person's tree on here will stay for ever.

Also people may not be members anymore, sometimes people respond months later, i have to remind myself sometimes that just because i`m on here most days, not everyone else is.....

If someone has changed their email address and hasn't updated their account on here they won't receive an email saying they have a message.

When I got ill almost 2 years ago, the last thing on my mind was contacting people over dead rellies... I was too busy trying not to join them. edit (the dead rellies, not the pm-ers lol)

People have lots of reasons for not responding, my cousin still has an account here and she died at 37 of breast cancer a couple of years ago.

Occasionally we just have to accept that we are not going to get a reply, and move on
