I belong to one of the above so wont comment. lol.
I think shop workers work long and nowadays very unsocial hours and Weekends and are often on the minimum wage. They have to deal with the public who can get very offish with them

All the above Joy, plus junior trainee doctors, all service personnel, (sp) particularly those in war zones, and those doing thankless jobs that no-one else will do.

Any very low-wage job. People work hard at them, just as hard as people work at many higher-paying jobs. Not to say that window washers should get brain surgeons' pay, just that the gaps are far too large. A fair day's work deserves a decent wage.

Caregiving occupations come to mind particularly -- childcare workers, for instance. The kinds of jobs that women do ...

What about those essential to our health= the dustbin men. The streets would be foul if there were no such beings. Dad had a spell as a Dustie, and their pay then was very low. I doubt it is much better now.

yepi agree with those too.and carers ,i watch how they are with my mom,and how they constantly cleaning,and seeing to the elderly.they amaze me they really do.
