Joy, yes it makes sense, peach leaf curl is difficult to get rid of.

I am really puzzled about our tree as it has been loaded these past 17 years, I wonder if it has just got old and past it. Will have to wait and see what the apples are like then give it anotherchance next year. As others are loaded it doesn't sound like the weather was to blame.

Our crab apple is loaded as usual. The grape vine is now in its third year of fruiting, and is loaded with grapes which look as if they will be bigger this year. May try grape jam!

I suppose it may depend on which area we are all in. Although it was very dry here it has also been very windy, I wonder if the blossom was blown off when we were away in May.

Ann, the tree here is loaded with them lol...aside from all the little ones that got blown down the other night...which are a real pain as they are small and very hard and very noisy when they hit the mower blades lol.

Has anyone else noticed that there are not many apples on their tree? Ours is usually loaded down, it is about 20 years old and we always end up giving the apples to the birds in the winter. This year I can almost count the apples on two hands. We were wondering if it was the bad winter or the very dry conditions in June that has caused it?
