My late grandfather had a 1/2 acre of land that he planted in lots of veges in, one year he planted a row of tomatoes and the two plants in the row came up as marigolds.

LOL Patricia - you're like me!
I've let 2 'seedlings' grow. I now have a guilder rose and a wild plum tree!

Worst thing in my garden is a japanese anemone. My sister gave me one plant about 10years ago.
I now go around the garden trying to dig the darn things up, then spraying the ones i've missed with Roundup. They STILL grow the next year.

Oh - and I now have 2 yews and an elder in my hedge. Will try to kill the elder soon.
I had a self-seeded elder, years ago, at the bottom of the garden - it's now HUGE and in very poor condition (perhaps the bits of aluminiun and other metal debris it grew around aren't helping) and endangering not only my shed, but next doors too!!!

Have you been able to taste them, some pears are roundish, and would be a bit soon to tell yet. Agree, the labels get switched by customers who tak ethem off to read and put them back on the wrong plant.
