At last we are getting a jolly good drenching in Norfolk . There was a thunder clap so sharp and loud I nearly jumped out of my skin...........lol
i feel all exhilarated and excited now .......shame the dog doesn't feel the same , he is being a warm foot jelly at the moment..........lol

NO we ain't, it's still dry and mostly sunny here in Norwich...Really need a good storm here.

It's easing off now Teresa .....but it was really a good one . I'm going to paddle in the garden for a bit ....lol

We have it here also in Derbyshire, with plenty of thunder with it. Absolutely hate it, and had to have a stiff brandy for lunch LOL

I'm impressed that our drains have coped so well with all the water , I just nipped out expecting the road to be looking like a river but most of the excess rain has gone .

I'll be in the garden on a snail hunt soon : )

Yes, the storm clouds are gathering and there will be an upheaval very soon, I can feel it in my blood.

I love a good thunderstorm. There's something very special about the power of nature. We can harness it, but we can't control it.

It is clouding up a bit here now, and the wind has dropped, so maybe it's on it's way.

Well it's lovely to get a sniff of lovely fresh rain washed air . It's been so hot and stale here in the East . I hope it hasn't flattened all the crops in the fields though as they looked about ready for harvest to my untrained eye .

According to the rainfall radar ( met office site ) you probably will get some TW , I hope it's as exciting as this one was .

Yes, TW. Def the calm before the storm. Theres a bad feel about this air and I dont know what its going to do.....

Just had a short shower, lasted all of 10 seconds, but it smells wonderful. I smelt it about 15 mins before it got here.

It chucked it down very heavily and thundered too, about an hour ago this side of Norwich, smelled lovely afterwards and means I won't have to water the pots today.

Wish it would just rain gently every night so it didn't bash the rose petals off and spoil the crops, instead of rain so heavy it looked like hailstones at first.
