Are you annoyed by the recent changes that have been made:
- when I am given access to another member's family tree I no longer receive an inbox message; therefore I can't easily match the tree access permission with the previous conversation I've had with the GR member
- if the member giving me access to their tree is female then the e-mail alert I receive contains their married name, but the list of trees I have access is by their maiden name; so I then have to match a married name to a maiden name; this is not easy when I have such a large number of contacts (after 9 years of research)
- now when I respond to an e-mail, I have to login to GenesReunited everytime even though I've ticked to box saying that I should be remembered on my personal machine; this is very annoying and I can see no rational explanation for this change - no other genealogy site does this

I am equally annoyed that GR did not provide any warning of these changes. If I had known what they were planning I would not have renewed my subscription recently.

When I complain to GR I get a bland generic response saying that the changes have been requested by customers but to be reassured that my views will be taken into account (although I note that GR didn't go the extra step and tell me that they valued my custom!).

Please let me know if you're equally annoyed with these changes.

Yes agree....have e-mailed complaint.....but it sounds as if I may have wasted my time :-(

Yes I agree and as I have not been here as long as you I find it very hard as just get used to one thing and then it changes. Also I sent complaint as if someone gives me access to there tree and have a lot on there I can't get it. It will freeze. Have had the person who tree it was complain as well. But did not get any where

They often seem to mess around with things that don't need changing, and we have to figure things out with no warning or explanation. The changes in layout lost several members as they couldn't cope with the differences in ease of use due to health problems etc

Wish they would remember, if it ain't broke, don't try to fix it!

I'm annoyed as they have removed a number of census records which doesn't help any newbie to the site. Lucky I printed all the records I wanted last year because this year if I go looking for my great grandfather he doesn't appear at all.
