hi i am having trouble trying to find out why Beatrice Alice Salter has Maria Salter formerly Dinsdale as her registered mother on her birth certificate yet it has Alice Salter as her mother on the 1911 censors???? this has been troubling me for some time now and just seem to hitting a brick wall so would really appreciate any help that anyone has to offer. It would be worth checking how long the parents had been married on the 1911 census this may give a clue if its a second marriage or not |

thanks for the replies, it doesn't say how long they were married, just says that when Alice Salter died she was a widow |
