Good morning Dawn,
I know the problem, I looked up my fathers birth address.... and it never was!
I was in the house many, many times.
Dead ends?
My tree appears to be full of them!

Strange, how some of MY lott seemed to live only a few doors away from each other in the east end!!
yet try to find em in the nearest census? no way..........LOL

same as births.....I reckon that they either went home to mums' house for the occasion, or to the local Lady "wot knew what to do".......LOL

Hey

Dawnie

The house I lived in when I got married was demolished about 9 years later

My family home was in Oldham, Lancashire, but I worked in Northwich Cheshire, lived in Hale Barns (near Altrincham) until 1 month before we married when I went back to Oldham, and then we got married in OH's family church in a small village outside Chester

Not even sure now which address was put down as mine on the certificate!

and anyway, we left for the US 5 days later!

Sad isnt it but suppose that is what happens.

I shall just sit on my fluffy cloud looking down laughing at the huffing and puffing as they are trawling records trying to find me.

Did make it worse for them though by living in one county and getting maried in a completely different one miles away lol
