Cynthia ... the broth was *cool* when I was shoving it in the fridge. Sheesh. Not that I don't put warm things in the fridge contrary to environmental correctness, it's just that I'm also lazy and had put off making room to shove it in, which also meant taking the bones and skin out and scraping and cutting it all up for the ferals.

(The woman down the street who feeds them doesn't offer cut-rate store-brand crunchies like I do; every 2 weeks, she puts out two overflowing recycle boxes full of small-sized cat food tins. But they don't get meat scraps and treats from her like they do from me, 'cause she's a vegetarian. Ha.)

The memory, though ... I'm hoping it was temporary. We were talking about movies and such, and every time I tried to think of the name of a movie or tv show or the actors in them, I was drawing complete blanks. Must have been the wine, right? -- Yes, he did bring more -- the white was cleverly packaged in a bag in a box, making it safe from my depredations.

Liz ... you should start a trying-to-find thread ... ;)

Janey, talking of forgetting, one of them I can't remember his surname, and the other I can't remember how he spelled his surname, Thomson or Thompson, have tried looking for them and their friends on facebook and fr etc etc The Kiwi and I both bought properties at the same time, he in Little Venice, London, and me in my home city, so both moved house and lost contact. He was often working away as a diver for months on end so by the time I realised I hadn't heard from him, it was sort of too late to do much.

Just curious as to how their lives panned out really.

Hope the toe is healing well
