Looking for Blaker people. Doing a One Name Study, belong to the Guild Of One Name Studies (makes me a Goonie)

Easiest way is to invite people to see the collection, but i gather that i am not allowed to post an email address.

So - glad to help if i can, and of course always looking for more of the little devils if you want to share..

Hi Rod, for info, there are 172 Blaker's in the UK, spread out between the Isle of Wight and Glasgow on the Electoral Roll.

Roderick - you don't seem to have opened the first of my pms - the one with information in! The one you have opened was more of an afterthought

Hi Frederick,

Yes but i think you are talking about the telephone book or the last electoral roll ?

I have tried to talk to each and all in Sussex for example, but a lot are disinterested or even touchy about this weird canuck with the funny accent calling them out of the blue.

In any case, thank you for the info.

Here it is - not that private! and the envelope from last time is still pink, I believe they have beern problems wiothh Messages lately

I see you are involved in a one-name study of the Blakers - My greatgrandmother was Isabel Beatrice Blaker b. 1848 who married Charles Dendy.

l see you have a private tree on Ancestry which just has Isabel's date of birth - I have a public tree there - esdr family tree - which has more details if you haven't got them already, and are interested

Mny thanks, Elizabeth.

I changed the setting to public as a result of coming on GRU.

So if there is anything you want to see, away you go.......

Obtuse but were you able to figure out Dennis' e-mail address?

Elizabeth2469049

Elizabeth2469049 Report 8 Aug 2010 13:12

Richard - you can send e-mail addresses on a pm - it is just not advisable to put them anywhere public like a forum

Glad to realise what your cryptic posting was about - thought you were on the wrong thread!
