Please could someone help, it would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking at the 1841 census and have found my relative (I think) George Spink, aged 11 (b c1830) in Porter Street, Bierlow, Sheffield.

I cannot clearly see what John's profession was, or the name of the person below George. Please could someone advise?

Thanks

The transcription from FindMyPast.

SPINK, John M 32 1809 Yorkshire
SPINK, Elizabeth F 33 1808 Yorkshire
SPINK, George M 11 1830 Yorkshire
SPINK, Harriott F 9 1832 Yorkshire
SPINK, Sarah F 6 1835 Yorkshire
SPINK, Thomas M 2 1839 Yorkshire
WRIGHT, Sarah F 62 1779

RG number: HO107 Piece: 1333 Book/Folio: 13/8 Page: 12

Registration District: Ecclesall Bierlow Sub District: Ecclesall Bierlow Enumeration District:
Ecclesiastical Parish:

Civil Parish: Sheffield Municipal Borough: Sheffield
Address: Porter Street, Sheffield, Ecclesall Bierlow County: Yorkshire

I suspect John's profession is either Tile Maker or more likely given the steel industry in Sheffield File Maker.

I think the transcription is correct for Harriott below George.

Thank you for your help. The link to file maker could be possible because George - who I have traced from 1901 to 1841 was a table knife hafter.

Thanks again,

Leanne
