Why would there be two siblings with the same name

Member Since: July 2003 Posts: 17 Send Message	I have been looking at George Spink b1830, Leeds married to Sarah A Spink nee Simpson b 1831. They had children. When looking at the census in 1851 there is George Spink aged 1, he is not mentioned in the 1861or 1871 possible death? However in the 1881 census there is a George Spink aged 16, general labourer b 1865. Please could someone advise!? Thanks Leanne

Member Since: July 2003 Posts: 17 Send Message	Hi Thanks for your response. I think it may be they just named their child the same name as the year of birth does not add up! It is confusing when members of the family are not in the household, it makes the search difficult. I have looked on the Yorkshire BMD with deaths for George Spink within 1851-1861 and 4 potential persons appeared, all in the Leeds area where they lived. I am not sure how to distinguish if one is correct, other than to go to the parish. Thanks
