During WWI he was billeted with future wife Suzanne Alfreda La Cuisine's family at Albert, Picardie, France?
See WW1 Medal card for: Victory and British Medals from the Army dated 20 Apr 1921 and the Star from the Admiralty, R.N. Division Engineers (Royal Marines).
The National Archives possibly have his Officers War Record. Ref: WO 374/3504

I have now found that the birth of his second daughter was later than was first thought. This was just before he died in Jan 1924. Her BC is on it’s way to me so more clues may appear shortly.

Kathleen A Ball, Q4 1923, Bromley, Vol. 2a, Page 903, Mmn Lacinsine? (Any christening?)

So I have now been trying to find more about his wife.

There are many variations of how her surname could be spelt?

This is what has turned up in searching in ancestry.co.uk but they could all be false alarms.
I only have Ancestry.co.uk and I guess to see the poorly rated 7 entries they list, one would need the World Wide subscription.

I wonder if any one can help view these 7 entries for any relevance for this particular Suzanne.

It is known that sometime after his death Suzanne and the two daughters returned to France and in 1931 were living at: Rue Grosse Horloge, Rouen.

It is then believed that Suzanne remarried and moved to Lyon, France.

The quest is on to establish as much information regarding Suzanne’s life before being married, her marriage date and place to Alfred John Ball and to try to trace their daughters Francine and Kathleen and their families in France or wherever. (Could possibly be Canada?).
Also to trace her second husband and his family.
