I did the same as you, many moons ago. Signed up for a rented house with three bedrooms, had to share costs with a gay friend as I was desperate to move out of family home (I had moved back after relationship breakdown in another city)

Got back to work after signing to hear from another agent who unexpectedly had a smaller single place available that I had lost out on the week before!

As for you, too late as signed contract and paid deposit, two months after moving in and me paying for all new carpets and such (this was in 1972 so I wasn't earning much) the gay friend realised he had forgotten his car hp payments so couldn't afford to stay, left me holding the baby of an expensive rental and all my savings gone, had to rent out rooms and work two jobs to catch up with myself!

Hope you will be happy when you finally move and settle, and you will realise you made the right decisions.

The real crap/funny bit is we approached the people we are going to rent off weeks ago and got turned down, so we phoned elsewhere and they wanted way too much as I told them, I also informed them that I had found somewhere in my price range and bless em 4weeks later they now want to negotiate their price .....far to late I have signed a contract.

What are you on Uzzi lol? or is it desperation over the move!
