Dont think you can put your tree on a disc from Genes??
If you use a family tree programme you can send people little snippets of their line, also you can keep all your information that you have together.if Genes ever goes down then you wpould lose everything, so always put on a programme and =back it up.

you can download your genes tree as a GeDCOM...by email from genes,.and I daresay that you could then save it to Cd,
but you will need a tree program to open it......Bob

Hi June
Suggest you invest in Family Tree Maker 2010 as with this programme you can find out the exact relationship between any two persons. Plus you can also use the search feature to find more detail on your family members. I myself use Family Tree Maker and find it is very good.
As someone has already advised you you then take a name from your tree and get a list of Descendants/Ancesters specific to that person. This feature is very usefull when you have a large tree and you only want obtain info on one section only.
Download a Ged Com from GR, then load the Ged Com into Family Tree Maker, after which you can load this onto a CD if you wish, or just use the above method to download or pass on to other family members either the full details on your tree or just some sections. Regard Ken
