Marion, 'fraid I need me cupboard space, but good luck with your new acquisition. Have fun LOL

Chris. you and me both. I watch Escape to the Country, and whilst alot of the properties are decidedly not to my taste, the OH and I often say OOOh I'd like that kitchen and hallway. We can all live and dream, can't we. LOL

Thanks Julia.. Iits takne me 35 yr to get one lol.
Slimline fits under the draining board where I used to have a cupboard.
Less space for big boxes of powder etc thats why I'm trying tablets.
Theres only two of us most of the time but it does half loads too. I just put it on every two days or so on full.

I've a feeling I will be back to persil non bio and softner...poured in at last minute as Kay does.

Now how about dish washer tablets? what the best there do you think?
I'm new to this just got my first one last week. I'm using finish tablets, they were half price so would be pretty dear if not on offer.
Any good cheap ones out there?

Hope you dont mind Julia....I could start my own if you like. But sinve we are all here.. lol

Interesting thing is, A**a have bought out N***o, and ours are going to be in very close proximity to each other. Wonders what they are going to put in the N***o building.

Julia,

I have just had the next offers leaflet from Netto, in with my free paper.

There is the offer of Surf Tablets (18 pack = 9 washes) at 'only' £2. They are in the leaflet of offers starting on Monday 8th August. Sometimes the offer items are in the store by the Sunday.

Hope this helps. Happy laundry!!

I live in a very soft water area and can not use the liqui tabs because they clog the machine up and the clothes don't get rinsed properly - the huge Persil ones are the worst.

I moved here from a very hard water area and was told by the washing machine engineer to only use a quarter of the manufacturers recommended dose, this includes the liquid type in a bottle. His words were " the manufacturers want to sell the stuff and I have to sort the machines out". Also recommended that I run the machine empty at a min. of 60 degrees every month or so. Have to admit though that I use half of the recommended dose as no way would his recommendation wash my lots clothes. lol

MarionfromScotland Report 3 Aug 2010 19:07

Jane

Jane Report 3 Aug 2010 18:47

I have never used Surf.I always use Ariel liquid Tabs.Put in the drum first then washing on top.Have never had a problem with them.I use Comfort ,but will never buy the green one again (I think it is Aloe Vera). It is so thick ,it always seems to remain in the little compartment and just clogs up.All the others are fine.

Hi,
I prefer the Persil liquid as it means I do not need to use the full 'dose' if it is a smaller load of washing. I did try the tablets, but kept having to break them in half. The liquid gel sacs are probably fine if you always do a full load though.
