has anyone had a ligniocaine infusion I refused it a few years ago went for stronger pain killers ie morphine but Rheumy really wants me to go for it and did think a month or so ago that maybe it was time but still got a niggling doubt as dont know anyone who has had it.

My sensible head (yes do have one sometimes) say ye go for it anything is woth a try but my other head is scarred in case it goes wrong (i know they are low risks) and also in case it doent work would of got my hopes up for nothing. WOuldnt be at local hospital would be oin Leiceter and would have to go on own.

Hi Dawnie,

Have you googled info on this, or asked on a Fibro group site anywhere?

I would be a bit wary personally but then I am lucky I don't seem to have as much pain as you - mine seems to have moved into the chronic fatigue syndrome more so it's the constant tiredness that is my bugbear. The vit d jab hasn't helped with that despite our hopes, but it has stimulated hair growth altho now some of the older straighter hair seems to be coming out, seems I can't win!

Hope you will have some better days, love
I am so glad you have your family to make you smile, Tiddler's future prophecies about marriage cracked me up lol

My CFS is bad as well cant do anything without being worn out. Siting up is painful so easier to lie down but that is bad as well but not as bad didnt help when Rheumy told me today my GP has tld me to take my pills wrong just thankful that I decided on my own to stop one of them and only take when really bad.

As for Tiddler sat in pathology with her today waiting for my blood tests and she said are you getting worried yet mum and then grabbed my cheek shook it and said dont worry mummy wummy shes a little madam cos she does it all with a smile on her face lol

Bless your Tiddler, she sounds a wonderful little character!

I know what you mean about the cfs, I wanted to do so much today but just fell asleep again, and had the most weird dreams too, I woke up feeling very strange but made myself get out of bed and must get off here soon as he will be home from work lol
Oh well hopefully tomorrow I will feel able to catch up, o.h. can't understand that if I push myself too hard for a few days in a row, it catches up with me badly.

Glad you used your iniative with the medication, it's bad when the docs can't get things right.

take care

Used it at the vets, it is a local anaesthetic. How would they administer it? Elaine.
