Mother arrested, boy found in tumble dryer

Might be late in adding this but just read that the mother of the little boy, 4 years old has been arrested for neglect. He was found in the tumble dryer an hour after she reported him missing and had been playing hide and seek in the garden an hour before.

My heart goes out to her, the distress she must have felt when she found him is unbelievable. I know she should have been looking after him but what 4 year old can be watched every second of every day.

Was the tumble dryer door shut? I doubt if any child could shut mine from the inside. Also was it tumbling?

Huia.

I should imagine it was shut Huia, never thought of that, police havent confirmed if it was `tumbling` or not.

If it was tumbling, only someone on the outside could have switched it on.
If he just pulled it behind himself, would the door have shut?
Mine would not have shut, no handle on the inside.
Poor souls, we will get the story soon enough.
