I'm really happy as my son and his girlfriend have just got the keys to their first home together.........and it's less than five minutes from my house .
They have been searching for a place to rent for several months .
In October they will be having their first baby , so I'm pleased that I will be so close at hand should they need me for support .

So I'm wishing Luke and Charlotte many many happy times in their new home : )) xx

That's good news, Amanda. I hope Charlotte and Luke will be very happy in their new home, feathering the nest for their little baby. Wendy x

Thank you Uzzi . Yes , I'm glad that she is happy to be close to me . As a Mum of four ( three are daughters ) I guess I'm quite a " Mumsie " person ....lol
The baby will be my fourth Grandchild and I'm really looking forward to her arrival : )) x

Wish my 29 year old son and his girlfriend would *get on with it* - they've been together nearly 7 years and living together for 3 - I'm getting so old, I'm worried I might *pop my clogs* before it happens!

It seems to me Wend that they either have chidren at a " silly young " age (as was the case with two of my daughters ) or they until they are about 30.

I hope your son will give you happy news before much longer : ))

I've just been round to have a look and it's a lovely flat . Clean and well kept . The carpets are a bit " old lady " ....lol ( but I liked them ) .
It's all very exciting and I'm over the moon : )))
