*** Mummo *** Report 5 Aug 2010 18:05

The day l was dreading finally came...............Mum was Catholic and we as a family were wondering what type of service mum would have but when we arrived at the church * Father Joe * was waiting to greet us and he did like we were long lost friends, the service was absolutely lovely even though l did lose it during the service but one nice surprise was that my sister passed me some tissue and wrapped in it was a beautiful solid silver bracelet with three charms on it spelling mum, when we got out side the church l gave her a kiss and she told me she brought it for me as l was the one that was always closest to mum and knew would be hard for me.
When we arrived at the churchyard we did have a chuckle as we saw * Father Joe* who was in his late fifties getting off a harley davison motorbike.
After mum was interred we went back to my sister-in-law parents house who kindly travel back from Lytham St. Annes so we could have a base in Fareham to have a nice cuppa and some snacks after the funeral.
All in all the day l had been dreading was a lovely day for my Mum, the send off that would have made her proud.
I would also like to say a big thankyou to everyone on here that have supported me and sent lovely messages when my mum was ill, THANKYOU, xx

Mummo,

What a sad day for you all but as you think back on it you will have a smile as you think of Father Joe and his motorcycle. Your sister has demonstrated what a wonderful family you must belong to, and how proud your Mum must have been of you all.

Love,
Elisabeth xx
