my friend's not sure .....

hi all

my friend was adopted as a baby .... one min she wants to know more the next she doesn't as she's worried about rejection .... she has asked me to make some enquires for her .... i've found her birth name and a family tree it's attatched to, i have emailed asking for more info from the person who created the tree but so far we've not heard anything. is there anything else i can do to help my friend - even comforting words?

Hello Kiefey ,

Do you know if the message that you have sent has been read yet ? To find out click on " messages " above , then on sent messages . If the envelope is still purple then the receiver hasn't read the message yet . It can sometimes take a person weeks ( even months ) to open a message , so don't give up hope yet . I would say that if your friends birth name is on a tree , that is an encouraging sign ( as it would indicate that she is know of ) . I don't have any experience of adoption but perhaps some other board members will be able to help you.
I hope your friend is ok , it must be quite an emotional thing for her .

Have you tried the electroal roll to see if she is on there also friends reunited or facebook
You will just have to wait and hope that the person you have contacted gets in touch and has some answers for you and your friend
I can understand your friend being worried about rejection and it would be very hard for her if this happened but at least she would then know better than not knowing and always wondering what if
But she must go into this with eyes open that this could happen it will be very hurtful for her but im sure you as her friend would help her through this but it must be something she should prepare herself for
I really hope this is not the case for her and the outcome is a good one for her

my friend is hopeful as she appears on a family tree created by who we think is her birth mother.

Unfortunately, the email i sent has been deleted so i can't see if it's been read or not yet. When i click contacts it only shows that it's been sent, we'll just have to wait and see if there is any contact at all - will keep you posted
