1 credit (20p) to view search results of up to 24 per page.

5 credits (£1.00) to view certificate online

Searchable indexes are available for the following.........

Births 1855-2006
Marriages 1855-2006
Deaths 1855-2006

Certificates are viewable online (cost 5 credits) for the following.........

Births 1855-1909
Marriages 1855-1934
Deaths 1855-1959

Outwith these dates, certificates have to be ordered from GROS Scotland or viewed in person at records office.

Scotlands People is the official website for Scottish ancestors. It is very easy to use and you can pay for credits as and when you need to do research.
You can also view and print off older BMD entries which means you don't have to order certificates unless you want to. More recent ones you have to order.
I have done a lot of research on this site.
