Are meat and milk from cloned cattle safe?

No. I can't see the point in cloning animals.
We also don't know the long-term effects.

As the cloning isn't chemically induced as far as I know, it's no worse than eating a twin is it? Also these are supposed to be the DESCENDENTS of the cloned animals...obviously farmed and fed as before.

That's not to say I'm in favour of cloning....but maybe if we were not so fussy over our meat...wanting bright red fat-free perfect joints every time, instead of the marbled slightly fatty stuff that's been hung in the cold room for at least 21 days, there wouldn't be the call for cloning to get the perfect meat cattle.

Personally, I'd eat it as long as it's welfare has been taken into consideration during it's lifetime. That's what makes better meat.
