I just need some advise on how to go about tracking my fathers blood relatives as he was adopted at a very early age. Havn't had any success on family tree's. All help welcome.

Is he still able to help? If he was born/adopted in 1927 or after, then he would have been given a new certificate with only his adoptive parents names.

He may be able to apply to the SS in the area in which he was adopted and has the right to see his file....assuming they haven't lost it!

Adoptions before then weren't formally registered. It is vaguely possible that he named his biological father in his marriage certificate, but reading between the lines, I'm guessing that he didn't know the name.

However, if he knows his birth name, you shold be able to find the registration of his birth, which at least ought to give you his mother's name and you will be able to follow that line through census and electoral rolls
