I have just watched Songs of Praise with Sally Maggnuson (sp), from Scotland. She went over to the isle, the isle of Bute, where I spent six years of my very young childhood. As usual, the scenery was magnificent.
But what made me weep a little, was the story of a young boy, Callum, who died of cancer. Not only did he organise everything for his funeral, and pick out his own plot in the cemetary, but laid down a challenge to his parents. This challenge was to build a holiday cabin on the isle, for similar families to their own, who had children going through what he was. And, with the help of the islanders, they acheived that goal. Callums Cabin, is absolutely beautiful. There is even a round stained glass window, with a star in the middle, and in all the segments off, their is something about Callum, including, football boots, a dart board, and a Scottie dog.
Very humbling

Just had a quick look at this site, and it might be of interest to others, especially those families in a similar postion to that of Callum's parents. I believe something like 72 families have had the benefit of a holiday at the Cabin, since it was opened.
Please have a look,
