I forgot to say that while you are using the patches, if you get a sudden bout of bad pain, you can use the Oramorph as a quick top up at the same time

My father used them and I often changed them for him. There is no way they can drop off. I would suggest making sure that you alternate the position as they can make your skin a bit sore if you keep putting them on the same shoulder. They were much better for dad because he got a slow dose which didn't wear off like the Oramorph. You can get them in different dozes, we had a variety,so we could increase the dosage in smaller stages as we needed to. Before we realised you could get the 50mg size (I think it was that) we were increasing the dosage in 100mg steps and sometimes that was too much.

Good Morning Julia I am sorry to hear you are unwell
and in pain. I have no knowledge of these patches but
wish you well and soon pain free. Take care.

Good Morning All. Last night my GP prescribed Morphine Patches for my pain. I have no experience of these, though I am used to Oramorph and Morphine. In the past, I have seen several of the good people on here say that they have used/use the patches. What are your experiences of these. One of the things that bother me,is how adhesive are they. I would hate for the patch to drop of, anywhere near children for instance.
Looking forward to your replies.
