Ah Teresa my OH can count the shoes he has on 1 hand His Doc martins his cowboy boots many times heeled and soled, trainers 1 pr, work shoes 1pr, flip flops 2 prs (because I bought the 2nd pr for him and put them in the wardrobe)

upps make that 2 hands as he also has a pr of leather sandels.

So he has 7 pr of shoes. and he has NO handbags but he does have 5 leather bumbags.

I have 2 bumbags and 2 handbags ....mmmmm there is another 4 leather unused hand bags going to be sold (just not me) but I really do only have 2 bags 1 material so washable and 1 leather go out. of my bum bags 1 for the size bigish and the other for the size and material smallish

Then I also have my backpacks ...I have 2 1 leather to take all things in and look smart 1 a homemade tarten which is good for unmajor shops or dog walks (bowls water fags poo bags etc ) OH has lolol no thats unfair

I thought it was just a woman thing Uzzi but OH has a bit of a shoe collection as well.
He got a pair of bright blue trainers with green flashes which glow in the dark the other day. I would not think it a problem if he was 18 but he is 44!

Never refuse an offer of shoes, they always come in handy at sometime. lol

I bet there are a lot of handbag collectors on the GR site as well.:)

Haaa now I'm a self confessed shoeaholic, when we moved 6+years ago I had to wittle my shoe collection down and got rid of 3 suitcases full. ..I didn't dare count how many pairs or how many had never been worn ..or just the once.

I brought with me ermmmm a few pairs (nearly all of which I still have in good condition) and I have bought several in the last 6yrs)
OH was most surprised in June when I fell in love with yet another pair of sandels, he offered to buy them for me and I refused !!!! (must have been mad) I refused a pr of bumber boots last week also ....ouch.

But I live in flip flops most of the year. or tacky bumbers or trainers (dog walk)
Just looking around and not in my shoe box I can see 4prs of flip flops, clogs, slave sandels and strappy ankle boots.

edit make that 5prs of flip flops as there is the pair I wear under my feet .lol

The fell walking boots sound right up my street Julia.

We live in a town that has a hill right up the high street.
Mind you when the snow and ice is around a pair of skis are a better option!
I have a pair of trusty timberlands which I have had for about 7 years and only come out in the ice or snow and will probably still be going stong in another 7 years.

Hi Cooper, I can honestly count the following:-
2 pairs of fashion boots low heeled and ankle lenght
6 pairs of sensible low heeld shoes, suitable for all occasions
1 pair silver /grey sling backs, low heeled, and similar in bronze/gold
1 pair of clog type shoes
1 pair of red sandles
1 pair of slippers,
and my prize possession, 1 pair of real leather Fell Walking boots, complete with appropriate suitable socks.
I too used to be of the 4" stilleto type, but not no more LOL
All the best

Beware Ann, I bet if you did a real count there would be more lurking about watching you from the top cupboard.

I have only 2 inch heals as cannot walk in anything higher.
My Daughter who is not short has 4 inch heals.
OH said she looked like Dick Emery tottering out on them.
Being a teenager she had no idea what OH was talking about. lol

Yes me, haven't counted but I have a top cupboard full of them, I hate to get rid of them but my days of wearing heels are past and there they all sit looking reproachfully at me. I'll have a quick mental count. Well I have got to 20 and there are more!! Oh I forgot about four pairs of sandals (I don't know why either) and three pairs of evening sandals. I have got to have over 30 altogether. and I live in trainers or flat shoes!!!

My shoeaholic friend and us less shoeaholic friends were discussing her large shoe collection.

She could not think how many pairs she had.

We all said we had very few pairs. Well I thought I didnt have many items of footwear. After a quick count I found 22 pairs of shoes, boots, sandels, pumps and trainers. One pair of wellies and a pair of slippers.
Where did they all come from and more worryingly, why dont they get worn?
I only wear work shoes and 2 pairs of sandels!!!

Any one else out there with shoe amnesia?

Teresa
