1....always take your memory card to a photo shop and down load card onto disc then load to your computer

So should you lose your computer you still have the photos on disc...

2..I have the same problem with a camera and I spent hours looking and found nothing ...I rang and mailed the company and nothing I guess we are on our own!!!

3.when you load the disc into your computer that you get from Boots or Jessops it will have a way of loading albums which is pree loaded on the disc you get from shop..

4 dont you have a wire to go from your camera to you usb port on your computer then you just plug camera to computer

Hi Patricia,
Do you mean that your camera can take a card in addition to an integral memory or that it has one, but you have never had it open to see?

I suggest you have a look at Amazon.co.uk and put Compact flash card in the search box quite a lot on there so you will know what it looks like.

Try this link for a Flash card reader

http://www.amazon.co.uk/eSecure-Speed-Reader-Digital-Memory/dp/B003CKC8W8/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1281598255&sr=8-3

Loads on there but this one seems to get good reviews.

Best wishes,
Mayfield

Does your printer have a slot for a compact flash card? I use CF on one of my cameras but noticed when buying a new PC that many of them didn't have the compact flash slot which is a fairly wide one. But you can still buy compact flash cards.

I have never used a memory card, and my computer does not have a slot to put one into, if I had one. But my all in one printer has a slot for a card. According to the info that came with the camera it takes a compact flash [CF] PC card. Is that what I should buy? I don`t use the camera a lot, but I would like to put any photos onto my computer. Does all this make sense?

Hi Patricia,
If your camera has a removable memory card, which most do, chances are that to just load pictures onto your PC you may not need a disc.

Has your new PC got a slot for memory cards? If so you should be able to just put the card into your PC and it will read off it.

You may have an older type of card which a new PC does not accept, my camera uses XD cards but my Vista laptop will only take the newer SD cards. I got a card reader for my type of card from Amazon for only a few quid that plugs into the USB port and that works fine.
I hope this helps.
Good luck,
Mayfield.

PS.
Just a thought, it's worth remembering that some PCs will have a tick box asking if you wish to delete the photos from the card after downloading.
It's worth keeping a eye out for it the first time you use a new computer to see if this has been enabled by default, if you don't want to lose the pictures off the card.

There seems to be more than one address to contact, which one did you try?

I did try Jessops yesterday, and they suggested I email them, which I had done, or look on line to try and find something/anything that would help.

Is it also available in the shops as well as on line? If so go into Currys or Jessops (if you have one) and ask their advice.

I have a Goodmans GShot 2025TFT digital camera, and the disc that came with it only goes up to windows XP. I now have windows Vista, so need a new disc. My problem is that I have looked at the Goodmans website, and emailed them more than once, hoping that they can help me, but with no response. I rang the number on their website, all you get is an automated voice message, and no mention of cameras. So I am not sure what to do next, any suggestions please.

Pat.
