Hi Catherine,
I use a pc laptop as well as an Imac, I use Mac family tree on the 'Mac around $99 (aud) I use FTM on the laptop and I hear that they are bringing out a 'Mac version of FTM later this year which will probably have some free Ancestry membership attached, I prefer FTM as the intergrated link with Ancestry is invaluable, I will be buying the 'Mac version of FTM when it comes out

just wanted to say thank you very much for the information, I do use/ collect clubcard points so that is extremely useful to know and i certainly didn't know I could use them to buy the software. I have just renewed on Ancestry, so will have a long wait. But just wanted to say thank you.

Personally i`d stick with FTM...prehaps get the 2010 version, it comes with 6 months ancestry membership to the Essentials package. { you can always pay extra and upgrade to a better package}

As you currently have Ancestry i`d wait for it to run out and then get it free with the software.

If you collect Tes*o Clubcard Vouchers you can buy it on there £15.00 worth of vouchers, an absolute bargain when you consider its £60.00 in the shops.

I have never heard of Reunion 9, but an Ancestry sub compared to a link to BMD`s would win hands down with me.


Tribalpages is a good site for a free tree, very user friendly.

I currently use FTM with a linked in facility to Ancestry,I was thinking of investing in some new software for a new Mac Laptop I have and come across Reunion9, I just wondered if anyone has it, what do you think,? or if not what you do you use to store your tree. Reunion9 is around £75 with a linked in information from the BMI index's.
