LOOKING AT SOME PHOTOS
SPOTTED ONE OF ME DAD

REAL DEAD SKINNY
SITTING ON THE SAND

TROUSERS ROLLED UP
ABOVE HIS KNEES

MILK BOTTLE WHITE LEGS
THEY USED TA MAKE ME SCREAM

HANKIE TIED I FOUR CORNERS
SHADING JUST A TINY BIT OF HEAD

ROLL UP CIGGI
WET AND BENT STICKIN TO HIS BOTTOM LIP

I REALSE NOW HOW MUCH
HE LOVED ME THEN

BUT HIS GENERATION
NEVER KNEW HOW TO SAY IT

BUT HIM LAYING ON THE SAND
BURIED TO HIS HEAD

I REALISE ITS WAS HIS WAY

HE'S BEEN GONE LONGER THAN I KNEW HIM
BUT SKINNY WHITE LEGS
OHH AND NEARLY FORGOT
A BRILIANT WHITE VEST

Morning Dizzy........... that reminded me of photo's i have of my Grandfather.
We would often catch the train to Bounemouth on Sundays during the summer. It didnt matter how hot the day was, my Grandad was always dressed in his Sunday best. All the photo's show all us kids in our swimming costumes and Grandad sat in a deckchair in his suit and tie, hanky on his head and roll up between his lips!
Aw, memories eh!
