Hi Teresa,
We (6 adults, 2 toddlers, a baby and an 8 year old) were camping in Wiltshire at the begining of August.
Weather was windy whilst putting the tent up (of course!), otherwise it was sunshine & clouds with the odd shower, during the day and extremely clear (and therefore freezing) at night!!

Children thoroughly enjoyed it!!!

We adults enjoyed a modicum of wine and, now we're back, love our beds & duvets!!

We are off to wolacombe (I think thats the spelling)
We are going in our Caravan so if it gets too bad we can make a hasty retreat! We have been away in all weathers including snow one Feb half term so I will go prepared. lol

Our two old cats used to either slumber in the airing cupboard or on the boiler (in shoe boxes) in the kitchen.I remember once when the man came to service the boiler he said it was full of cat hair lol
Where in Devon are you going Teresa?.You always need wet gear in Devon lol

Grrrrrr, I think I will pack the thermals for our"summer holiday" in Devon next week.
I read the weather report in the paper and it said that the rain will be with us until November!

Went out into the garden to see if Harold the tortoise had come out of his house, noticed one of the pond plants had keeled over again due to the downpour we had yesterday afternoon. Lifted it up and oh my!! there was the most ginormous slug the size of my index finger sitting on the side of the pond under the plant. i had seen the plant with holes in the leaves but never seen what was eating them , Well he got short shift .I got some kitchen roll and picked him up then poured salt all over him and watched him sizzle!! i know it ain't nice but we have had slug problems on the patio for several years ,even poor Harold comes out of his house with slime trails over him ,very undignified for a nearly 50 year old . lol

It was drizzling here. Strangely, my cats love the rain - or perhaps they enjoy leaving muddy footprints everhwhere!!

Cooler than it was (thank goodness), bur certainly not cold enough to sleep in the airing cupboard - he's got a fur coat on for goodness sake!!
Sun's out now - should I hang my washing up........

PMSL - Betty the cat is sat on the windowsill looking out at the starlings, making the 'rusty gate' sound they make when they know they can't reach their prey!!!

Went to get the sheets out of the airing cupboard - and pulled one large, fat, very dozy and not very happy cat out too!!!
I know it's cooler than it was - but surely not cold enough to hibernate in the airing cupboard!!
I went out in the garden, and loads of wasps were on a 'mountain fleece' plant.
Just heard a lot of squawking in the garden - there are at least 100 starlings weighing down the elder tree - feasting on the berries!
