How long do you wait before you delete or don't you? |

Why delete? It isn't taking up room on your PC so I leave mine, not that I have many unopened, if any. |

I leave mine in case somebody suddenly remembers that they have got a tree on here. Sometimes the envelopes will remain unopened if people forget to change their e mail address. |

I like to open and reply to any messages as soon as I can. Unless I'm 'away' or something, I try to reply within a week at most. |

I would love to have the opportunity to send messages - each time I tried yesterday and today, this happened: |

My gripe, is about the opposite. I contact someone through search trees, and ask about someone in their tree. The contact opens the message, and doesn't even bother to answer. |

GoldenGirl - your reference to Hot Matches. I see one welcome reform in my latest batch - when you click delete, you are now given the option to retain the possible contact |

Even if you do open them all up, and then go back to check you haven't missed any, you will find that for some reason, some of them have been marked as unread again. It is sooooooooo annoying because I have read one particular hot match 11 times this week and that is only while I have been counting. |

I wish there was a way we could have people removed from Genes if they fail to rreply within, say, three months! I have made repeated applications to some people who just ignore me. If it isn't your person it doesn't take a moment to say so. It's just bad manners not to reply. Let's try to get these people thrown out!!! |
