I remember 'Listen with Mother'
Strange how mum always disappeared when it started!! LOL

Kenton did a good thing tonight!!

I don't like seeing the 'real' people behind the voices.
I imagine Shula as being dark, but Judy Bennett, who plays her, is blonde!

Muffin the Mule wasn't before my time... just that it was "before we got a tv".... was it on the radio as well?

Didn't even know that the Archers was still on the radio, thought it went off just after Mrs Dale's Diary. I never listened to either, just knew we were not allowed to speak when it was on because it was "Mum's time".

I used to love "Listen with Mother"...... "are you sitting comfortably?, now I'll begin". My older sister, myself,my brother and baby sister sitting crossed legged on the living room floor just waiting to be entertained. How innocent we all were.

Then we all went out and played "cowboys and indians" and shot each other . Some things never change. lol

Oooh, Ann, Mrs Dales Diary was before my time - honest!
As was 'Muffin the Mule'.

Used to listen to it years ago on Sunday mornings but not had it on for years now. My daughter listens to it. I am not very good with the radio because of my hearing problem, I miss bits and need to see body language to interpret what is said.

*whispers. I used to listen to Mrs Dale's Diary too!!!

I have listened to it religously since the 1950s, I agree its better than Eastenders but anything is. The one thing about the radio is you can use your own imagination. Love radio 4 or as it used to be The home Service. Elaine.

No Sue...you are not the only one...there is me and Maggie lol.

I have listened to the Sunday morning omnibus since Dan and Doris Archer were farming at Brookfield!

I have not listened since Sunday so I don't know what has happened between Kathy and Kenton since... if anything. Lol Maggie I have never liked Kathy either and although Kenton is basically a shallow person he has put his mark on Jacks....perhaps a sign that he is settling down and taking responsibility for once in his life? I have always thought that Kathy and Kenton make an odd couple.

I love the rivalry between Jennifer Aldridge and Susan Carter at the moment...I could swing for Jennifer!! Poor Alice and Chris!

Beats Corrie and Enders any day lol.

I listen to it every evening - and on a Sunday!
I feel sorry for Jamie - I think he and Jolene will pull each other out of it.
As for Kathy & Kenton - Kenton is usually very shallow and I've never liked Kathy.....

Am I the only one who listens to this?

Will Kathy and Kenton make it:
