lol, i could never do come dine with me, never mind the cooking bit, whenever we have people come over I pile everything in to the bedrooms and shut the doors to make the house look tidy - we could never have anyone poking around!

karen i remember that one. imagine if you had friends round for dinner and they ended up cooking themselves, heaven forbid they wouldnt come again probably. but worse imagine some strangers poking around in your drawers and bedroom, who knows what they may find in mine, my husbands false teeth, hes always losing them lol

Hello Florence, Holby and Casualty have to be my all time favourites at the present. I think it will be a toss-up between Christine Hamilton and Dick Strawbridge, though the other girl may surprise us all.
We like Come Dine, but at the moment we only get repeats, but it is so funny. Shows up the ignorance and bad manners of some folks.

Florence, I'm a Holby fan too but I love come dine with me and in particular the voice over its so funny. my favorite was a Preston group where one of the hostesses konked out upstairs halfway through dinner and the guests had to cook the rest themselves!!

julia my fav is holby and we use to get it on tues, but now its on wed(tonight), will do anything not to miss it. but who do you think is going to win masterchef, my money is on christine hamilton. another fav food prog i enjoy, but more for the entertainment factor is come dine with me. some of the guest are just unbelievable. last week there was one that put half her food into a serviette and then into her handbag, beacause she was given too much!!. she was horrible and really bitchy. not quite what you would expect. but there are some who are just so hilarious and we all need a good laugh to cheer us up dont we?

I find the website LocateTV dot com is great for looking up when programmes are on and repeated on TV. You can also make a list of programmes you want to see such as the next series of something, or films and ask for email to remind you when they are on TV.

Good answer to that one Frederick. I do not have alot of telly viewing time compared to others. So, if I recorded Holby, I would be very miffed if I had not got the time to view it before the next episode. Whereas, with the Cake prog. though I do not want to miss it, I would not be put out if I did. Anyway, I have to be in bed by 10.00., to take me meds. and have me nightcap.

Yer Stray, they were gorgeous to look at, but not really my kind of thing. I am more the Marmalade Tea -Loaf, that sunk, by Mark, type of person. Can't take all that butter cream, or chocolate. But the Forset Floor one, sure had some inticate features on the top, and was to drool over.
Love and kisses to the Littleman. Does he start school in Sept.??

The first episode of The Great British Bake Off is repeated on Sat, 21st August at 4.40 p.m. on BBC2.

'Assume' all episodes will be repeated on the following Saturday.

Last night, the OH and myself, looked into the new prog. on BBC2, The Geat British Bake Off. We are very into foodie progs., so thought we would give it a go. The jury is still out for us, on this. Not sure about the presentation of this prog., with all the so called food 'historians & experts' saying their bit, and not too keen on the presenters either. Nevertheless, there was some good cakes made, a couple of which I will try. Next week it is baking bread in Scotland
However, this was part one of six, and I missed my fav. Holby for this. What I am asking, is, as I do not want to miss another five episodes of Holby, but would like to see more of the Bake Off, can I find a repeat of this elsewhere, and not necessarily iPlayer.
Will be glued to the set tonight for Celebrity Masterchef as the finals are next week.
Many Thanks
