Is upgrading to Platinum worthwhile? I logged onto Anscestry and thought I would try their free 2 weeks - however I discover I am a member since 2007! That must have been when I took a free 2 weeks. I certainly have not paid them any fees so I came out quick. Looks as if you only get one trial! |

So moving on from the concensus that Platinum is a no-no then Ancestry or Find My past - what are the views on either of these please? |

Platinum is def a no go .You would be better taking six month subs on the 1911 census on Find My Past for around £35 -£38 |

I did have FMP during the world cup and made use of the 1911... but for other searches I find Ancestry easier? that is probably just that I am used to the search on Ancestry though. |

I have both Ancestry and the 1911 subs on Find My Past. used to buy units on Find My Past but didnt find it very user friendly in that it used up units unnecessarily on look ups that didnt find the info wanted |

I have a platinum account on here and find it good. I have found many people I might not have found. You might find that some of the people that have said no, don't have a platinum account on here, but may belong to other sights that might charge more for the same kind of thing you get on here. But it's all up to you and what you might hope to find. All I can say is it works for me. |
