Hi motowngirl - umm - what breed is this dog?
I have visions of an Alsatian - or even a Great Dane!!

Daughter used to have an Alsatian x collie,
I woke up one morning to find her asleep on my bed - with her head on the pillow!!

bit spooky!! LOL

Soon told her where 'her' bed was!

You obviously don't have cats!
Three cats that don't exactly get on, locked in a room is asking for trouble!!
Then there's the problem of how you get all 3 into the same room!

Why should a bedroom be animal free?
They don't have fleas or lice and I don't have allergies, asthma etc - and have always slept with cats - when I was 6 and living in a caravan in the North of Scotland, my cat was my hot water bottle!!!

Shut them in another room while you are house cleaning, or whatever, and what are they doing in the room where you sleep.?
Surely a bedroom should be animal free.

And yes, Geordygirl - they do have me well trained.
If I threw the cats off the bed in order to make it, they'd hang around - jumping on my clean sheets etc. with (undoubtedly) one of them going outside and managing to bring the mud on their paws through 2 rooms and up the stairs to succesfully muddy my sheet!!
When it came to fitting the king sized duvet into the king size cover,(a hard enough task at the best of times) removing 1 excited cat from the interior is bad enough - removing 2 is impossible!!

lol i remember trying to make a bet with cats around they think its a game and walking round the other side seems such a long way to go xx

Been there, done that, Maggie! Why do we love the pesky critturs? Whatever we do, will we be back to feed Lizzie and the outdoor cats, Have we left her a clean litter tray, Oh no, she's just used it, so start again. Has she got dried food down in case we are late, and fresh water. Now she wants to go in the garden, No you have to stay in because we are going out. Sulk! And to think we have never been without a cat in 55yrs!

Mind you, I'm only in my 50's!
I've been trying to re-lay my laminate floor for 3 weekends now - usaully on a Saturday between 12 and 4.
Did quite a bit yesterdy, so thought I would have a 'real go' today.
Thought I'd change my sheets first - no I won't 2 cats, George & Mr Miu are there, and will only 'interfere' if i try with them around.
Okay, I'll vacuum the carpet. By the time I've extricated the vacuum cleaner from under the stairs, Betty has decided to lie on the stairs.
Right, I'll prepare a meal in the slow cooker.
Just as I start, Mr Miu comes into the kitchen. He has a habit of walking pressed up against my leg, meaning i have to sort of walk around him - usually to find he's positioned himself just where i was going to put my foot, so I end up taking 6 steps where 1 should do!
Get dinner on and decided to have a late breakfast.
Then, as Mr Miu has gone out, i check my bed - George is still on there, and Betty is still on the stairs.
Okay - i'll start on the floor.
I cut one piece and am in the process of trying to get it to 'click' when Betty strolls in and sits on the piece of laminate! I move her, and she sits on the join that I was about to belt into place.
Move her.
She jumps on my back and starts pummeling me mercilessly.
I sit there until she's had enough - she then proceeds to lie where the next piece goes.
This went on all afternoon - no wonder I don't get much done!
Aafter a certain amount of time I give up, make a cuppa and come on the computer.
Then Mr Miu comes in, sits on my lap, and in between painfully 'paddling' me (he can't retract his claws), he belts the keyboard until, eventually, I give up the typing char to him and sit on a stool!
Go back downstairs to put the furniture back - trying to avoid Betty who seems to think it very important to study the front of the piece of furniture I'm pushing from the back, so i have to walk round move her and push before she's got a chance to get in front again!
Then George came downstairs - i shot upstairs only to find Mr Miu back on my bed. Rush downstairs to get the vacuum cleaner - guess who's back on the stairs?

It's not age 'slowing me down' it's these bl**dy cats!
