Takes me back a tad. I failed ALL of my O'levels when expected to pass at least 5 ..uppps I did re-sit when I realised the only person I had harmed was me. and passed 9 of them.

I was so proud of my Dad when at the age of 58ish he passed 2 open university degrees which he had worked for evenings weekends etc for over 5 years Then at the age of 60 he took A level french and passed.

I do admire those who go for adult education.

Anyway as I was saying before sidetracked
it takes me back a tad to waiting for my results ...sitting on a beach in Perranporth
Where was you when waiting?

Summer job in a dry cleaners - went home at lunch time and persuaded my my mum to open the letter - which was addressed to my dad!

Can't remember about the A levels, although I think they came through the post as well. I think I'd given up with the dry cleaners by them, so was probably at home waiting for the postman.

DET I should add that I was working a summer job in Perran not just being lazy ..
I never gave it a thought who the letter was addressed to as I wasn't at home.

Uzzi - as so many children now-a-days go off on holiday, I didn't give it a second thought! :) Mind you, it was different in my/our days - lol
