Purple **^*Sparkly*^** Diamond Report 26 Aug 2010 01:15

Just want to thank everyone who has sent messages and texts etc - I can't keep up with them all at the mo, but it's so nice to have the support.

I am getting lots of headaches so staying away from the computer for a bit, I think it's because I am so tired and not getting much sleep. O.h. is on nights, his constantly changing shifts these last five weeks have been a nightmare and have taken it out of him too, he can't sleep mornings well so is only getting about 6 hours or less daily when on nights. We are pretty much as ready as we will ever be for the trip to the wedding, we leave on Friday and will not be back till Sunday.
It's pouring with rain, has done for most of the late afternoon and evening.
O.h. will be home around 6.30 am and then arranged to see his son from NY and his wife for lunch, picking them up at 2pm How stupid is that? He will be exhausted and guess who will be expected to drive tomorrow, Joe flippin Muggins! At least his father isn't going to turn up now, it's a time for o.h. and his son to spend together and meeting the new wife, i don't think I will be up in time to go and not sure I want to anyway, again I would be expected to drive him so he could drink!

Last evening before he went to work I went upstairs and saw him dash into the small bedroom he uses as a dressing room, next thing I see is a splash and he has spilled cider all over the floor, he dashed out and down the stairs so no idea where he took the can but he denied it was cider and said I must have knocked something over! He has been back on the 'secret' drinking for a few months now, he says it's because he is nervous of meeting new people at the wedding etc but he has always had some excuse to drink in hiding, he did it with his wife and the woman he had an affair with, which broke up his marriage.
His own father rang yesterday while I was out and apparently told him to behave and not show the family up, pity his dad didn't warn me when I first met him that he had an alcoholic for a son.
He fell asleep before he went to work and I had a real problem waking him to get ready and go just before 10pm

It will be good next week when everything is over, except the birth of the baby in November, and he will be back on normal shifts. I have to sort out when we will take a holiday but it won't be Corfu only local I think as the house he likes at the West Norfolk coast is available for the first two weeks in October. Not sure if I want to go or not, wish I could just send him lol but I have said if we go I will not cook every evening and he can do it or take me out to eat. Will be boring stuck there just with him tho and no computer for company!

My son is off to Reading this morning, he has his hair done in a Mohican but can't see it standing up for long in this rain bless him.
He deserves a few days away tho and I hope he has a great time with his mates and that the weather improves so he and his tent dry out before they come home.

Anyway thanks again folks, will be back as usual I hope next week and can catch up with you all then

take care
love and hugs
Lizxx
