Little Lucas Ward wandered away with his bike and a packet of crisps from his grandmothers home over a week ago. He is 4 years old. His body was found in the Waimata River today which is behind his grandmothers home. His body was found 400m upstream from where he went missing.

My thoughts go out to his parents and grandmother at this very sad time. Taken too soon. RIP Lucas.

Oh, poor Lucas.
His parents and grandparents... not to mention EVERYONE in the family who will be grieving must be in a state of disbelief.
To lose a beautiful little boy who was little more than a baby really, must be a dreadful burden for them.... or anyone in this position.
God bless all of them.

My heart goes out to the Grandmother, who must be taking an awful lot of this on herself..... she has lost her little grandson, and her own child has lost her baby.

I feel so, so hurt for them both.

At least the family are able to lay their little baby to rest. The father has said that at least they know cos he would have driven himself crazy for the rest of his life searching for his little boy.

I cannot even begin to comprehend how they must be feeling right now.

This is so sad, aww bless him.
His poor family, especially his grandmother.
