How long since you have had the operation?

My daughter has had the same trouble, I wonder if it is that the scar tissue has stuck together. Just a thought but tell your doctor and ask to see the consultant. Elaine.

Morning Lizz. This is not an easy one. I had my GB removed about 2 years ago, and have still suffered as much, since then. I have regular bouts of excruciating pain, have to call the Paramedics, who sometimes give me Morphine because the pain is so bad, but even they are getting fed up with this, then I go in hospital for a few days until the pain has gone down, with more intravenous Morphine. IBS has been suggested several times and been rejected. Then Chronic Pancreatitis, until blood tests have also ruled that out. Present diagnosis is in limbo, with even the GB Consultant saying he thinks he may have taken out the wrong thing, this having been done by keyhole surgery.
I have my own stocks of Oramorph at home, and recently went onto Morphine patches from my own GP, which you wear all the time. Yesterday was particularly bad, and to stop another hospitalisation, I had a 5ml dose of Oramorph. The pain went eventually, but I felt grog all day. If it had got worse, I would have had to call the Paramedics.
I think the moral of the story is, you have to keep going back, until you get a course of medication that 'does it' for you.
There is no quick fix with this, I am afraid.
