Does anyone else have a problem with Genes wanting to force members to buy platinum membership when they wish to access the 1911 census? |

Hello Anthony, you need to be a platinum member to access the 1911 census. Sometimes people will kindly look a record up for you if you post a thread for a lookup on the records board. |

FMP have the monopoly over the 1911 census and GR are part of FMP so in the end, you get to the same records. The difference is in the ease of use and accuracy of the search indexes. |

All I can tell you is I for the last few months have a Platinum Membership and find it very good for looking up Census records and gaining infomation. I have found a branch I did not know I had and also found a 1st cousin once removed, simply by being a Platingnum member. Now that to me is worth the money they charge. The lookups dont cost extra as it's all in the price. Hope this helps. |
