Just wanted to share my good news.

Eldest daughter gave birth to my first Granddaughter at 5.50am yesterday morning.

She was 4 weeks early........labour started on her own, and we drove to the hospital about 4am........after examining her they discovered the baby was breach and she had a C .Section within the hour..

Strange because baby was head down for the last 4 weeks and was still there when she`d visited the Midwife on Tuesday.

Baby weighed in at 5lbs 10 and a half ounces....not a bad size for an early one!!

Mum and daughter both doing well...

Does anyone know how Suzannes daughter got on? last thing I heard was when she added to her thread on Thursday evening when they were on their way to the hospital.

Maybe just a little bit biased, ...but right too.!

Hope daughter recovers well after the surprise op and wasn't too upset by the early delivery that way.
I think it's the norm to operate now, although successful natural breech births can be possible too.

Enjoy lots of cuddles !

Thank you all for your congratulations...

Hopefully they are coming home this afternoon.....they will be staying with us for a little while, daughter was meant to be moving to a new flat this Friday, but think she will stay with us a bit longer after having a C section as she can`t lift anything and needs to take it easy.

Lovely news about Suzannes daughter....... I see both our grandaughters were born on the same day!.

Congratulations to you and your daughter Nicky, glad little one is here safely and also Suzanne's granddaughter.

At the wedding of o.h.'s son on Satuday there was a very pregnant guest, 35 weeks gone, and the bridesmaid is due to give birth to a daughter on 17th Sept, so she sailed forth in all her glory - she looked lovely but as tho she had a giant football up her satin gown.
The bride was beautiful in cream satin but appeared to be leaning back to balance her bump of 28 weeks! The hotel staff assured us they had lots of hot water and towels to hand lol
