Not sure where to put/ask this question but here goes!!
I have entered a relation twice...don't know how!! but I just cannot delete her as she has a husband and children....the old system used to let you delete a relation as I seem to remember!!
I am sure it is simple but I don't want to delete un-necessary details if I don't have to!!
Thanks, June

Am no expert June, but seem to remember I had to delete the children before I could delete the mother.

Hi June,
it is difficult. As Lyndi said, you cannot delete someone with children, you have to delete the lot..... up to the person you DO want to delete.
I have done the same as you and my Grand has married my granny twice!
I have just left it as I KNOW it is wrong and I tell anyone who needs to look at my tree.

In fact I have other mistakes in my tree which I will be able to delete, because I followed a wrong route.
It happens to most of us.

Good luck with your tree.

Thanks for the reply...I have just gone back and sorted it . Had to delete the children ...luckily there were only 3!! Good job it wasn't with my Grandparents...my Nan was one of 14 !!!!!!
You have to be so careful adding the children as you can end up with them being married to their parents if you're not careful!!Oh the joys!!Glad I'm not the only one...I wonder if the admin office would care to comment as to WHY it is so blooming difficult to delete a person??

I found this out pretty quickly, fortunately, when I had my husband's grandmother married to the same man twice - they obviously couldn't make up their minds! : )) At least, I hadn't got very far along the tree before I realised. In my case, it was all because I was in such a hurry to get all the information down, I didn't take time to find out how the system really worked. Ho hum!
