I find the information in the census really helpfull, but why do they stop at 1911, & how can I find similar information after this date? i.e. household address plus occupants. Can anyone help please

They stop at 1911 because that is the last census the goverment will allow the release of. Its not likey any more census will be released BUT if that changes it wont be till 2021 anyway,
For later info you would need the electoral rolls held at the appropriate area records office but only people that could vote would be listed.

There is a 100 year closure on census records and we were lucky that the government decided to let the 1911 census be released a couple of years early.

There is talk of the 2011 census being the last one to be taken because of the cost. I hope this isn't the case.

The 1921 census will be the last one I will see (if I'm still around) as the 1931 census was destroyed in a fire and there wasn't one taken in 1941 because of the war.

After 1911 you can follow up address found on certificates. Using the address you can search in a main library or archive local to that address and find names of other voters listed at the same address.
You only get people over 21, ...later 18... who are eligible to vote and there is no hint at relationship, but it does give some help towards further searching of marriage lists etc..
The old electoral lists are NOT searchable by surname.

You may find the person listed in the old telephone directories on Ancestry. This could lead to an electoral list search, as above.
Not as good as census, but better than nothing....
