Do you, like me, read the memorials that people put on the backs of benches in memory of their loved ones? I saw an interesting one on the promenade near St Aubin in Jersey. |

I believe Denis was the only person to succesfully escape from the island during the Occupation. He joined the RAF and flew Wellingtons. After the war he moved to Maine in the USA and died aged 85 in 2004. |
